Have you seen your OWN website recently?

I get strange looks from customers when I tell them that I look at, and review, my website every week. They ask why? My response is quite simple. Our website needs to reflect our business. Sometimes nothing changes from week to week, but by making sure I allocate time each week to sharpen my website I know I am happy to send anybody to it to find out more about our company.

When did you last look at your website?

We all get stuck in the day-to-day business of running our businesses, and we often get behind on the accounts, the invoicing, the general paperwork and the one thing that virtually no business owner I have ever spoken to does is look at their website regularly.

My reviewing of our website led to the creation of the website reboot course that we offer free of charge to anybody. It is a simple step-by-step guide to ensuring your website, and your marketing activity reflects your business goals.

By having a plan and reviewing your marketing activity, digital marketing and website against it you will gain a better insight into your business. The main benefit I find of this is that when I talk to customers about our business and how we can help them I find it easier to explain.

It is almost like learning a script for a play or a movie. The customer has asked you a question because you have an intimate knowledge of your business and you can answer it effortlessly, which gives the customer confidence that you know what you are talking about.

If you haven't looked at your website in a while, stop reading this article and go to your website and read every page. Once you’ve done so ask yourself if the website reflecting your business and the kind of customers you want to attract. If not, do something about it.

If you need help, please give us a call. We are happy to give you help and guidance on what you can do yourself, or if you’d like us to, we can work with you to help you to improve things.

Reviewing your website is like looking in a digital mirror for your business. You need to know what you expect to see, so you know what your customers are seeing as they are using it to judge your business and its ability to help them solve their problems.
